Dancing in Community
Dance can be a powerful way to connect communities. It has many benefits including health, creativity and connection. It can be a way to create friendships and increase social participation. It is something that everyone can try regardless of ability, and science is just beginning to understand all its cognitive and emotional benefits. However, Lalita recognises that not everyone dances best in a group, and individual sessions may be of great benefit.
Together we can design a project, workshop or program that suits your community and their needs.
Lalita has post-graduate qualifications in Community Development and Human Services has worked for over 25 years in cultural and multicultural community development. She is also a qualified Dance Movement Therapist (Master of Creative Arts Therapy- Dance Movement Therapy).
